SVdP’s Most Holy Trinity Conference Pilots Homeless Shelter Program

St. Vincent de Paul of Santa Clara County’s Most Holy Trinity Conference saw a need to shelter the homeless so they acted on it. With funds from generous donors they launched The Most Holy Trinity Homeless Shelter Program on February 7th. The Shelter Program is able to house up to 15 guests for a week and provides them with clothing, food and other essential items to make their stay as comfortable as possible. The goal is to run the shelter for 3 non-consecutive weeks. “We initially started with 2 guests and by the 3rd week we had 12 guests and a family of four. We felt a kinship for each of our guests. I continue to stay in contact with them.” Said John Estrada, President of SVdP’s Most Holy Trinity Conference. Providing shelter is especially important during the inclement months. The goals is to offer this program again during the winter months.
